On a Windows XP that is already working with the cable network:

Click g Control Panel g
if you see "Pick a Category" heading, click "Switch to Classic View" g
Click the Systems icon g
click the Computer Name tab g
click the Change button g
a Computer Name change screen appears,
inside the Computer Name field is where you identification code is.

On a Windows 2000 that is already working with the cable network:

Right click My Computer....Properties....Identification...Properties
the Computer Name field is the identification code that you need.

On a Window 95 or Windows 98 that is already working with the cable network:

Right click Network Neighborhood.....Properties......Identification Tab.....
the "Computer name" field is the identification code that you need.

On a Windows ME that is already working with the cable network:

Right click My Network Places.....Properties......Identification Tab.....
the "Computer name" field is the identification code that you need.
